Welcome to Home Sweet Home Doodles

Our Philosophy

At HSH Doodles, our dogs are part of our family –and we raise every puppy with that same love and care.  We are committed to ethical, responsible breeding and believe puppies thrive best when they are raised in a calm, nurturing home environment.  Our dogs enjoy a natural, holistic lifestyle, including a species-appropriate raw diet and a thoughtful, minimal approach to vaccinations, always guided by what is best for their overall wellbeing.

Our breeding program is focused on producing healthy, even-tempered puppies that are well suited for family life.  We carefully select our breeding dogs based on temperament, structure, and long-term health, working to improve consistency and predictability with each generation.  Our breeding dogs complete extensive health testing, including OFA evaluations for hips, elbows, patellas, and eyes, along with genetic testing for breed-specific conditions.  Health clearances and certifications are available and we are always happy to answer questions.

Frequently asked questions

Process

Fill out our Application when you are ready to reserve an available puppy.  We will contact you via phone or email to answer any questions you may have.  We require a $300 non-refundable reservation fee to reserve your puppy. You will be sent a receipt for your deposit.

Puppy picks will be made in order of deposits received.  You will be able to visit and pick your puppy when he/she is closer to 6 weeks old.  We conduct temperament assessments when pups are six weeks old to match puppies to families to ensure a good match. We also take your picks into consideration.

Our Puppy Price is $2,300. Deposits are taken off the price of the puppy. On pick up day, we will also sign the Health Warranty and Purchase Agreement, a copy of which will be provided to you by email.  The remainder of the puppy price (minus deposit) will be due once puppy is picked up or delivered.

When can my puppy come home?

The puppies will go home to their families when they reach 8 weeks old.  The date and time will be arranged 1 - 2 weeks in advance. We will often deliver your puppy depending on where you live and how close you are to the lower mainland, at no extra charge.

We will only hold puppies 4 days past the pick up day. After those 4 days, a $50/day boarding fee will apply.

Do you provide a Health Guarantee?

We provide a Health Guarantee against debilitating congenital defects until the puppy reaches 1 year of age (and as outlined in our Health Warranty and Purchase Agreement).  We also offer lifetime breeder support should any questions or concerns come up throughout your dog's life.

If for any reason you cannot keep your puppy/dog we ask that you please return them to us or inform us if a friend our family member will be taking over care.

How often will I get pictures, video’s and litter updates?

We update our Instagram multiple times a week with new videos and pictures of the puppies (@hsh.doodles).  You can also reach out to us if you do not have social media and updated pictures will be sent directly to you.

How Often does an Aussiedoodle require grooming?

Aussiedoodles require grooming typically every 6 – 8 weeks. It really depends on how you prefer their coat and how much work you are doing with your pup to maintain the coat. Finding a really good groomer of Doodles is the best. They will recommend and work with you on a schedule for your dog to maintain the coat you love. They will also help provide feedback and suggestions on what you should be doing at home.  Early and consistent exposure to professional grooming is a must to ensure less fear of the process and to keep their coats looking and feeling great with no matting!

We recommend brushing your aussiedoodle 3 times per week with a wire pin slicker brush and metal comb to keep them mat free.  We can recommend some great products, just ask!

How Much exercise does an Aussiedoodle need?

Aussiedoodle puppies are intelligent, active, and growing quickly, so their exercise needs are best met through short, gentle, age-appropriate activities rather than long or forced exercise.  The general rule is a 5 minute structured walk per every month old (eg. 3 months old = 15 minutes per day).  Free play, exploration, basic training, and mental enrichment are just as important as physical movement during this stage.  Structured walks should be brief and gradually increased as puppies mature, allowing joints and growth plates to develop safely.  Rest and sleep are equally important, as puppies need plenty of downtime to grow and learn.  We highly recomment crate training for easier potty and sleep training.

As adults, Aussiedoodles are energetic, athletic dogs that thrive with daily physical activity and mental stimulation.  Most do best with a combination of walks, playtime, training, enrichment such as puzzle toys or games.  A well-exercised Aussiedoodle is not just physically tired, but mentally fulfilled and content.  They are also great couch pals once their needs are met and settle in well with their families schedules.

Our Aussiedoodles love agility work, nose work, hiking, off-leash walks, puzzles and exploring.

"Our Murphy is such a joy!  We're always out for a walk with him and he's always making us laugh out loud."
